Recovery and balance: what costs energy and what gives it back

Balance is not a scale that stays still. A level-headed way to track where your energy goes.

Recovery and balance: what costs energy and what gives it back

Balance is often imagined as a scale that stays perfectly still. Nobody manages that. A more useful question is: where does my energy go, and what gives something back?

Track one week

For one week, note two things every evening: what cost the most, and what gave the most back. After seven days you see a pattern that thinking alone would not have found.

What usually stands out

  • Some tasks take little time but a lot of attention.
  • Rest you only half allow yourself gives little back.
  • Contact with certain people costs or gives strikingly consistently.

Recovery is not a reward

Recovery works best when it is not something you earn once everything is finished. It is part of the work, not the prize afterwards.

Important: MyRadix is meant for reflection and personal growth, not care. For persistent complaints or exhaustion, a doctor or therapist is the right place.
