Methodology

How MyRadix reads a life.

Every chapter, prompt and reflection rests on layered evidence — never invented, never opinion-only. Here is what sits beneath the writing.

Astronomy

Positions are computed with astronomy-engine (Moshier) — an established open-source engine used by astrologers and researchers worldwide. No AI, no approximation.

Our astronomical calculations use the Moshier Ephemeris, a proven high-precision astronomical calculation model developed by numerical astronomer Steve Moshier. It provides a reliable mathematical foundation for calculating planetary positions, the Sun, Moon and other astronomical data. No AI, never invented.

Astronomical precision you can trust. Planetary positions are calculated using the proven Moshier Ephemeris — established astronomical algorithms that are also incorporated into the Swiss Ephemeris ecosystem used by professional astrology software worldwide.

Astrology

Established traditions — Western, classical, modern — shape our interpretive frame. Every statement shows its source and confidence level.

Human themes

Instead of centring planets, we translate chart signals into human themes like voice, boundary, longing. The language stays recognisable.

Human wisdom

A curated library of philosophers, psychologists and contemplative teachers feeds the reflections. Sources are visible and versioned.

Evidence-informed psychology

We use contemporary psychological concepts for reflection — never for diagnosis or therapeutic advice.

AI layer

AI phrases, summarises and personalises. AI never invents astronomy or astrology — those come from the layers beneath.

Safety and transparency

MyRadix makes no predictions, creates no fear and never replaces a professional. In severe distress we always point to qualified help.

Engine transparency

Why small differences with other astrology sites are normal — and how we handle them

Our astronomy engine matches other established ephemeris implementations and industry reference sites within arc-seconds for the classic ten planets, Ascendant, Midheaven and Placidus house cusps. Where you may see small differences with another site are the secondary points — and those differences are not calculation errors on either side, but legitimate choices between astronomical conventions.

  • Chiron has no stable Keplerian orbit, so every engine relies on numerical integration or interpolation. Currently: Hermite interpolation on JPL Horizons samples. Agreement with other established reference implementations: < 2 arc-minutes.
  • True North Node — the difference between "mean" and "true" nodes is a choice; within "true" there are multiple valid derivations. We use the instantaneous angular-momentum vector (h = r × v). Agreement with other established reference implementations: < 2 arc-minutes.
  • Lilith, Vertex, Part of Fortune — several accepted definitions exist. Our convention document records which we use, and why.

To keep this trustworthy over time we do three things:

  1. Version every engine release. Each birth chart snapshot records the exact engine version used. You always know when a chart was computed and with which conventions.
  2. Regression-test on real reference charts. On every engine change we compare five reference figures (including known-good published charts) point by point against established reference implementations, with per-point tolerances. A release that regresses any point beyond tolerance is blocked.
  3. Automatically rewrite affected stories. When an engine upgrade changes a secondary point (like the recent Chiron / Node improvement in Engine v1.3.0), existing "Your Story" and "Astrological Foundation" publications that reference the changed point are re-generated in the background — with no action needed on your side. You'll simply see the updated interpretation the next time you open it.

Transparency over the illusion of perfection. Two astrologers disagreeing on a Chiron interpretation is a feature of the field — but the underlying numbers should be both accurate and reproducible. That's what our engine versioning guarantees.
